Contexture is an innovative new company, born out of a love for theatre and a desire to bring professionally produced plays to Bishop’s Stortford.

 

Launched in October 2013 with a repertory season of three plays, the company is establishing a year-round programme of productions offering audiences a wide range of styles and genres - classical to modern, comedy to tragedy, and everything in between.

 

We want to make Bishop’s Stortford a destination for the people of Hertfordshire, North Essex and beyond. As well as producing plays, we will be working with schools and providing comprehensive education programmes to support our work.  We will also be offering in-school workshops; adult drama classes and presenting a series of masterclasses that demonstrate theatrical techniques.
