Simon Anderson
Simon left a career in the City to work in theatre. Having trained at the drama Studio in London, he has been in the profession now for over twenty years. In theatre he has worked nationally, internationally and in the West End in a varied career that has taken him from Shakespeare at the Mermaid, to Howard Barker at Sadler’s Wells, to Bernard Shaw and Ayckbourn in the USA. He spent four years working with Steven Berkoff’s company as both performer and assistant director, touring the world and then working at London’s famous Old Vic theatre.
He has run several theatre companies in his time, which have produced a string of successful Off West End shows and he also founded a theatre charity with Gailie Pollock, aimed at giving inner London students access to professional theatre. He is a regular guest director at Bishop’s Stortford College.
